ok so i posted a message before my internet explorer works if i just type in a site, but I can't search on any search engines because when I type in the word instead of showing real web sites I get results that say "find ____ at blowsearch.com" and many other things similar to that. I also have something like jraun.com always popping up.

I ran the virus checker, spybot, ad-aware n hijack this. I removed the things I thought were bad, and the problem was fixed. But now it's back again. here's what hijack this shows...if anyone can help and let me know what I would have to do that would be great. THANKS.

Make sure that when you run SpyBot you have updated your definitions and spybot. Scan your computer, then make sure you click "Immunize" and immunize your computer. That will solve a whole bunch. SOmetimes when you travel to a website like blowsearch.com or RocketSearch, they install crap on your computer without your knowledge. Sounds like there is a user there who is going to these site, so inform everyone that uses your computer to not go to those, or you'll kick them in the head. But make sure you immunize. It will solve loads of your problems.

Run Ad-aware and spybot again. Make sure you have the latest updates for both. Either you are going back to the same web page that gave you the ad-aware or spybot in the first place or you have a virus like for example lady.exe that will on a time schedule release spybots on your computer.

Hi Irene,

I'm just going to list every link I have ready for Anti-Hijacking, but I think you'd be better off presenting your problem to the experts at the Security & Virus forum (check the left of this page).

I don't think it's a grave problem, though. Also check the Norton(Symantec) and the McAfee sites for free scans.

Keep in mind that some of them need to be updated over the web when first started, and before zapping the baddies!
AVG anti-virus
Spybot Search & Destroy
Lavasoft Adaware
BHO Demon
Merijn.org
Trojan Remover

DoxDesk
GRC ShieldsUp
Spyware Info
AnswersThatWork

[RefBy JohnW]
Bazooka Spyware Scanner
PANDA online virus-check
SwatIt
HouseCall Scanner
PestPatrol

So, post again on the S&V forum for the experts.
