Comment:

I just did a clean install of AXP Pro.Trying to install "Seagate Backup Exec. Desktop 98". Won't install, maybe because I now have XP. I want to restore all of my backup dfata that was backed up using Seagate when my system was W98. I hope I don;t have to buy a new program as I want to investigate the XP backup option first. Any ideas?
Bill

XP has windows compatability wizard. Look under the help and support section of your XP O.S. It is in the start menu.

You might try going to the Stomp BackupMyPc site and search it for any update that might make your program work in XP.

I had Backup Exec years ago and cannot remember if I found an update or just bought BackupMyPC because it is basically the same progrm. It went from Seagate to Veritas and is now Stomp. Not sure if it is really the same old company with new names or what but it works well.
