Nat, read my post under "Trojan Virus Help!"
a couple of posts under this one. Follow that advice, when you reboot go into Safe Mode, the vurus can't load there and it gives you time to kill it. Try to note the name of the virus before you do so you will recognize it in the register, and maybe find it on your C drive.

Hi Thanks for youtr response,
The problem is that I don't actually think that it is a virus as such, I don't know which file to delete etc. I'm not majorly advanced in the ways of computer delving. Whatr does a corrupt file look like?

It is normal to have more than one scvhost.exe
running. I have 5 on my XP Home.

OOOPPPSSSS

I think we're overlooked something here - Natshirt is talking about scvhost.exe which is a virus/maleware and not svchost.exe which is a system processor ??????
