Dear Group:

I have a Sony AIT-1 SDX400c SCSI tape drive. I have the unit properly connected and device manager shows that the drive is there and under drive properties there is a driver listed.

The problem is that the drive DOES NOT show up in My Computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

wayne

Go to the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Manager and try to assign it a drive letter.

Hi ham30,

When I look under Disk Managment I do not see the tape drive listed. So there is no way I can assign it a drive letter.

What do you think is wrong?

Thanks.

wayne
