On my second day of using XP, I can truly say that THIS is the best OS MS has come up with yet. I use NT at work and it can't compare to the ease of this one.

When I was setting things up, I recall somewhere telling it to allow ActiveX. But now, where ever I go, even here on Computing.net, I get a little box from Internet Explorer that says:

A script is accessing some software (An ActiveX control) on this page which has been marked safe for scripting. Do you want to allow this?

I have been hitting 'Yes' and see no problem. How can I get this to stop bugging me? And, better yet, is this a problem?

I knew it was going to be fun switching OS's. LOL

Thanks. :)

Hello PCBob, Left click twice on the word "internet" down at the right hand corner of your status bar, theres should be a icon of the world there next to it, when you Left click it Twice the Internet Security Properties appear, click on "Custom Level" then "Advanced' and scroll down to "Script Active X Controls Marked Safe for Scripting" and change it from Prompt to Enable. I think that should do it! Let us know if it helped?

That did it. Thanks. I pretty much just took the defaults on that. Then I couldn't remember just where I saw it. There's lots of new stuff in there. Fun to poke around, but it's like I need to leave a trail of bread crumbs so I can find my way back! LOL

Thanks again. :)

Bob

Your Welcome, What I do is, if a problem occurs, I write down the problem and the Cure and keep it as a Draft in my yahoo drafts. Its a "Tip collection" if your pc crash's, then you never loose how to get things back, because Yahoo has its own server and the Cure is always there to look up!

Good idea. Thanks Tomtt.

I'll probably run across you again.

Have a great day.
