KTTD is right :-)

Unless you use a digital camera, the only way to get such screen shots your self is to use software such as VMWare that lets you run/install another operating system within your currently running system.

i hoped there was a utility that let me run it as a TSR and just save the screenshots to my hard disk ... im trying to make a tutorial kinda thing for work, im not sure if i should just suggest using this online one, and i dont really wanna just rip the screenshots ....

What exactly do you need screenshots of again? Instatllation of XP itself or screenshots of software like Office?

The VMWare software is only needed if you want screenshots of the XP Installation--starting with the BIOS screen. No TSR lets you do this.

If you want screen shots after XP is happily running, you can use the PrintScrn key and the paste the images into MSPaint. Or you can use a program like IrfanView to take timed shots.

unfortunately, its for the OS setup itself ... its so new IT support staff have a walkthrough with screenshots. XP sets up the network etc while its installing, and weve got domain settings etc that need to be entered, so thats pretty much the only way to do it ...

even a digital camera wouldnt work cos of the screen flickering

Then something like VMWare or Virtual PC would be your only options. I'm not sure about VMware, but VPC has a free trial you could use for the install, and then just remove the files when you are finished.

I hope the IT staff would be competent enough to get by without screen shots :-D Incidentally, screen flicker isn't a problem (for digital cameras) if you have na LCD monitor.
