Screensaver Password

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get a password on my screensaver in Windows XP Home edition.
There is no option on the window to set one. I read a guide somewhere that suggested setting a password for my user account. I set one, and it still does not ask for a password once the mouse is moved after the screen saver comes on.
Could someone help me with this simple but annoying issue?

That's the same procedure I already tried. I set a password for my user account and rebooted, but the screen saver does not ask for one.

The ScreenSaver password only works after the set WAIT TIME times out, and a few seconds longer than that time. I have seem somewhere that the Registry has a setting in it to add a few seconds onto the WAIT TIME.
If you activate ScreenSaver in any mannor before the timer times out, plus the seconds, then the password thing does not work.
