I have accounting program DOS Based ACCPAC PLUS, I recently uypodated my computer, i only get half the screen the other half is blac. how can i streach the fonts so they are from top to bottom of screen and not half black screen?

IT IS A NEW COMPUTER TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO. UPDATED MEANS I REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE. MY SOFTWARE IS ACCPAC PLUS WHICH IS AN OLD SOFTWARE. I HAVE WINDOWS XP.
