I have bought a new LCD monitor which is running at 1024x768 resolution. The problem is on some Web pages (not all) the page is pushed to the left with a gap on the right. All the page is there but only uses the right hand 2 thirds of the screen. How do I make it fill the whole page. On 800x600 resolution everything is fine.
Many Thanks

I don't have an LCD monitor, but I seem to remember reading that all those monitor have an optimal resolution setting.

Hi JohnO,

I don't have one either but I believe the following should help

Can I use different resolution modes on LCD panel?

Quote:

Yes, you can; however, it perfoms the best under its native resolution. The following is a list of LCD panels and the native resolutions:
· 12" LCD Panel: 800x600
· 14"-15" LCD Panel: 1024x768
· 17"-18" LCD Panel: 1280x1024

Strange as it may be, the bigger LCD you have, the smaller view you get. Why is that is explained in this article

Thanks for all the information.
I read that article and it was very interesting. I tried the resolution at 1280x1024 but it made no difference and anyway I would need a micoscope to see the text..it was so small. I tried Mozilla as well, but that was no better. Oh well back to 800x600.
Thanks

Soory that doesn't help because the actual window is full size, it's what's in the window that's the problem. Some web sites show all the page but only use the left hand 2 thirds of the window.

Download X-Setup Pro 6.6 utility here, and install it.

After you install it, open the program, and go here: Internet->Internet Explorer->Windows Settings->Window Size

Edit it to the height and width you prefer.
