Double click My computer
Under system tasks click on Change a Setting
Click on Appearances and themes
Click on choose a screen saver
Click on settings
Click on up arrow in Minutes and set it to stay on as long as you wish

Right click a blank spot on your screen when not on the net and you will see a tab for screensavers. Follow the prompts.

You may need to go to Control Panel>Power Options and increase (or set to 'never') the settings for turn off monitor, standby, and hibernate.

Screensaver? You mean Desktop background.
Right click your empty screen - properties -
Screen Saver Tab - Select None
You probably have it set on blank and after 5 minutes it go blank.
