Screen resolution issue after install VNC

Specs: Windows XP Professional
My computer has a weirdo problem after
installing VNC... when i use 1024x768 is ok,
but when i try 1280x1024 it seens the
resolution goes off the screen. It is like you got
a bigger resolution on a 1024x768 monitor.
When I move the mouse to the sides of the
screen, it scrolls so i can see whats hidden
(like a strategy game where u can scroll down
on the map)

I've already tried reinstalling the graphic card
(Radeon HD 2400 Pro) and changing the
refresh rate on properties > advanced

Any ideas? It's making me crazy!

Technologies > Wizard.exe > Advanced option. Then changed
manually the resolution size to any other, and then back to the
