Screen Resolution changes after I play games

August 4, 2009 at 14:17:25
Specs: Windows XP
Every time I close Counter-Strike: Source, the
screen res goes to 1024x768. I Slide the res bar
in properties all the way up to 1440x900, and
click apply. It says I must reboot my PC for the
changes to work. Is there any way I can put my
resolution back to normal without rebooting?

See if you can adjust the resolution of the game to match what you want to use normally on your machine. Then you won't have to go through readjustment when you're done playing.

Right click a blank part of your screen and choose properties> settings> advanced. There should be a choice to apply the new settings without restarting. Then click OK.
