when i switch my computer on which is an xp computer the computer starts normally but before it gets to the log in screen the monitor cuts out and says "no signal" i recently bought a new monitor because of the problem an its still happening, maybe i should use safe mode im thinking but my keyboard wont work to move up and down instead of automatically starting on the default action "start windows normally".. has anyone got ne solutions?

uhm..

u need to check your RAM.. remove or replace an another one..

but it doesn't work.. maybe your video card..

JAMIE_G_80900, not positive I follow you. Are you saying things seem to be booting normally, then you get the message and lose the monitor? Does it go off or simply lose it's display?
Off completely smacks of something like a circuit breaker overheating (too sensitive?) within the monitor. Losing the display while staying on, on the other hand, smacks of video card. You need to decide which to work on.

Have you tried re-installing the video drivers?
