My screen goes blank for about 5 seconds whether I'm doing something or not on my pc (like typing an e-mail for example), even though it doesn't happen constantly it's annoying. Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem

Juanfer, your screen gets refreshed every few microseconds and as a rule, you never notice it. A glaring exception occurs if there's too much stuff demanding attention. In that case, everything has to get in line and gets attention in turn. If it seems to take too long for something to happen (like screen refresh), perhaps you can cut down on the stuff running in the background. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Ed, thanks for replying. When that happens I'm only running one program or two which I don't think is a lot, when I had XP Home (on same pc) that never happened, even running four programs at the same time.
