screen capture and divx

Hello all
Ok, I have a bunch of video files that are in divx that I would like to get screen captures of. I tried the "print screen" button and other screen capture softwares. they all come out with a picture of the destop or a black area around the player. I ran through websites and heard about a video overlaying on the player but i'm not sure if this is the cause. The only way I have succesfully been able to get images is using virtual dub to cut a small segment of video and then save that using "image sequence". It works but it would take a long time for my kind of projects. I used to be able to easily do it in 98 so I don't know if xp prevents me from doing so.

Yes the way video is overlayed it the problem. Virtualdub will do what you need to do. Instead of doing how your doing it open the video and find the screen your wanting capture. Then click video>copy source frame to clipboard. Then paste it into any image editor.
Hope this helps, Sandman

Use BSPLAYER. I promise you it is the best and most versatile player out there (well amost) Gives you lots of control over how video is played.
And it does screen captures with simple touch of a button. -P-
