Solved Screen bigger than monitor on samsung n140 notebook.

December 10, 2012 at 14:18:07
Specs: Windows XP

My samsung n140 laptop's screen has suddenly become larger than the monitor, so now I have to scroll to move the actual screen (my toolbar is on my left hand side vertically and I can't see "start" and the clock at the bottom anymore...at the same time)
It just happened the other day but I can't find a way to fix it. It's not the resolution or display but the actual screen itself is bigger than the monitor, as if I've zoomed in somehow!
Can anyone help it's driving me crazy.

right mouse click on a blank spot on your desktop and choose properties. This will take you to the video settings. Try different screen sizes to see which one works correctly

I have fixed it! I went to "easy resolution manager" which for some reason can change the screen to 1024 x 600 rather than 1024 x 768... I've no idea why as when it goes to 1024 x 600 the screen is bigger than the monitor! So I have gone back to 1024 x 768 and it now fits the screen again!

However when I made these changes in the properties section rather than "easy resolution manager" it didn't change anything...
