All of a sudden this week when I copy a photo from anywhere and try to paste it to a folder it is saved as a scrap file. How do I put it back to the whatever it is will copy and paste in the same format

You mean the copy is saving as an .shs file? How are you doing the copy/paste? What happens if you drag and drop? LIR

I am right clicking copy and heading to my images folder and right clicking agian paste or the drop down edit / paste. It always used to retain the correct file extention. Seems that it is affected more in or from webpages and out of images embedded in outlook emails. I guess what is need is how do I dissccoate all images from the scrap extention or prohibit scrap extentions Thanks for the reply to my first post.

Forgot your drag and drop question, I never drag and drop, hmmm that does not work for me at all when a picture in in an email. Also I would have to go open the folder first then go back to the image. Drag and drop from folder to folder and copy/paste from folder to folder is not affected by the extention changes, only stuff from webpages and emails
