scheduled tasks dont start

hi, im using windows xp professional, and ive scheduled a program to run when i start the computer. however it doesnt start. period. no warnings, no errors, nothing appears. (the program is "objectdock"). any ideas?

If you want it to start on bootup place a shortcut in your the startup section.
Location Start-Programs-Startup.
It should run everytime.

Look at your task in scheculed tasks. There is s message there in the status column as to why it does not run. My guess is that in XP Pro you have to have the account that your are using password protected. The Wizard you used to set up the task implied this. I have not found a way around the password thing. I am told (but haven't tried it) that this is not a problem in XP Home.
This apparently does not apply to scheduled tasks that have been set up by the program in question. Just those set up manually.
If you can find a way around the password thing please let us all know as I do not want to resort to a password.

ok thanks guys....i coudnt figure out the scheduled task problem, but i just put a shortcut into startup folder like hacad said...works like a charm :)
