I would like to use the Scanner and Camera Wizard to import my photos but it doesn't seem to be working. I have 2 Fuji digital cameras, as well as a usb smartcard reader, and no matter what I do, when I connect the cameras directly, or use the reader only, XP will conncet and show me the file folder so I can import the images manually in the explorer type format. The drivers seem to install when I connect either the cameras or the reader, but I cannot get the Wizard to fire up. Strange thing is that when I first got the USB Card reader, the wizard would show up to import the images off the card, but now it doesn't seem to work anymore, and when I hook thge cameras directly, it doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling the cameras as an "Imaging Device" but it doesn't seem to find the drivers, even though I have gone though an installation process with Fuji software. Is there somewhere that it may be turned off, or not recognizing the data as photos.
Any help is appreciated.

sounds like a twain32.dll driver issue to me.
all 3 devices have their own twain drivers which 'confuses the system to which driver is needed.

The drivers must be installed BEFORE you connect the devices. Use the installer provided, not the wizard.

go to c:\windows\system32 folder and find the following file. wiaacmgr.exe. This is the executable that will start your scanner and camera wizard. Make a shortcut to this file on your desktop. Execute the file. If the scanner and camera wizard cannot locate your camera(must be plugged into a USB port and turned on) then you have a driver problem with your camera. Research each one of these and when all your ducks are in order then the camera will work.

As a secondary you could purchase a universal card reader which you would plug the memory stick from the camera into. At least this way you can get the pictures downloaded from your camera.

Hope this helps.
