Hello,
Is there a way to save the emoticons you have added in msn? It's hard to get them all back after you formatted or something. If there is a way , please show me the way :)

blob, so long as you have saved your emoticons to a folder that's available, they can be added to mail.
FWIW, 'format' erases the hard drive and gives you a clean slate to start all over. The only way to preserve any of your old stuff is to save it to some sort of removable media like a disk, CD, etc.

Hi,
no, i mean the emoticons you use when you're chatting in msn messenger. Most are emoticons that ppl sent me and then i added them with the add function, and when i want to use them i have to select them from a list. But i can't find that list anywhere physically on my harddrive, but it has to be somewhere.

blob, suspect that unless you specifically saved them into a folder, they got erased during the format. Create a new folder and see if in future you can save the emoticons into it as well. You can then preserve the entire folder to make it 'format proof'. I do that with smileys, animations, etc.

You can find your emoticons if you go to C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data(hidden folder)\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\(Your account number)\CustomEmoticons

Only thing is, I tried replacing this folder from my old computer with the one on my new msn install, and none of the emoticons are showing up. If anybody works out how to do it...

ouch
