Possibly this may be better in the networking area - but to start here...
Using roaming profiles:
User-A can change the Desktop settings (specifically resolution) after logon. When User-A logs off the changes remain - for the next user; but do not travel (as part of roaming profile) with the User-A (who just made the changes).
i.e. The next time User-A logs on at this - or another - PC if the resolution on that PC (also set by a previous user...) is different to what User-A set at their previous logon wherever, that is how they remain for User-A immediately after logon; i.e. as set by the previous user...
Naturally User-A can again manually change them accordingly...; which is "a payne" to have to do each tyme...
Any way to have the (Display Resolution) settings preferred by User-A travel with him/her in their profile?
Can't see an option to this end in Group Policy; and haven't managed to find the registry key that holds the display settings either...
The assorted systems have a large number of users; and some of those users like a very hi-res, while some prefer it a little lower... (Depends on applications/utilities etc. being run - and also eye-sight considerations etc.?)

computer resolutions are set to the monitor. just as bios configurations are set to each computer.
They do not travel from computer to computer.

Hi Lurks...:
mmm - we did sort of consider that to be the case; yet one or two colleagues seem to feel it's possible nonetheless... If not a profile or Policy option then one idea being a batch file routine of some form/set or other; one that runs at start-up to set display as preferred, and then another at log-off to restore to what it "was"...?
