Solved 'Save As' menu popping up in Word, and flickering screens

Dell Studio laptop with intel core 2 duo...

Specs: Windows Vista
Dell Studio laptop. Windows Vista.
Flickering screens constantly popping up when on Hotmail (and Google) - can often be closed by pressing F12, but recur frequently. They have the effect of disabling the screen. Their toolbar often begins with 'Elements' or 'Developer Tools'. 'F12' sometimes appears on Toolbar.
Also, in Word, 'Save As' menu constantly pops up unbidden, and often cannot be closed down, even by pressing Enter, Save, Cancel or clicking on the red cross.
Have run McAfee Virus Scan and Malware Bytes - says all clear.
Suspected my keyboard and pad, but same thing happens when I use auxillary keyboard and mouse.
Any suggestions welcome!

You are probably infected, even though your tools say you are clean.
Try ( borrow ) an usb monitor.

Thanks John
I've installed ParetoLogic Health Adviser stuff and run their scans. Thought it had done the trick, but now not so sure. Still saying laptop health is low, so I've cleaned everything again using this software - cost me £32 but it will be well worth it if it works!

Nor I Phil, don't spend any more money, if your infection can be fixed all the tools are free & you will probably need quite a few.

You should have a ParetoLogic log which you can post the details for us to have a look.

Here are some tools to try. Infections will do there best to stop programs installing, we then have to outsmart them.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( MBAM ) Use Quick scan.
Quick Scan versus Full Scan

Trojan Remover ( 30 day free trial )

Did you find the log Phil, if so, copy & paste the contents of it in your next reply.

If you are still looking for your log file Phil, not knowing anything about ParetoLogic, I just googled & this is what it says.

In the left panel of the Main window, click Anti-Spyware and then select the Backup link.
Click Logs.

A window opens displaying the log file that was generated.
