After installing another system fan, a truly bizarre side-effect has sprung up.

When I save something through a web browser, the SAVE XXXX dialog box pops up. If I click on the MY COMPUTER button to the left, it lists everything under My Computer.

However, soemthing happenned. All the results aren't listed in alphabetical order. It's defaulted to some order I don't recognise.

If I right-click the empty space, the RRANGE ICONS BY option is selectable, with NAME, TYPE, etc. Regardless of selection, it won't stay like that. Closing the browser (Firefox AND IE7), rebooting the PC... nothing helps.

How can I stop my web browsers' My Computer listing from giving these unsorted results.

(Opening My Computer from the Desktop is still fine and sorted by Type)

UPDATE: It's not just my web browsers. All other programs (that have the My Computer button on the left of their Save As dialog boxes) arrange icons by TOTAL SIZE. Still can't change it's default to TYPE)
