If you are seeing a message similar to this popping up on your computer:
"the system process C:windows system32 lsass.exe terminated w/ status code 128...system will restart, save..."
then you may have been infected by SASSER WORM or one of its variants. Please see these links for fixes to this problem.

Did she turn off system restore? you must do that first, then symantec suggests running the tool twice.

Here is the most DEFINITIVE COLLECTION of links I could find to SASSER.

hey yall
look i've got tha same dang problem and i
know it ain't sasser
i done ran a bunch a fix its for that and
they tell me it ain't there.
i'm gonna try tha download that 1 gurl did
and said worked
but as far as gettin around it ta run a
program. if you have a plug for your
internet (dsl) i know you can unhook that
and it won't shutdown
if you have anything else like a phone jack
for your internet i guess that would work
too.
but i do know i unhooked my dsl and
stayed on 3 hours playin solitar.
so there ya go!
now if you could help me and tell me wut i
might have i would really appreciate it
thanx
peace!
self'if it looks good
you'll see it
if it sounds good
you'll hear it
if its marketed right
you'll buy it
but
if its real
you'll feel it" -kid rock-
