When i plug the flash drive 2.0 gig sandisk micro (with skins). The autoplay menu never loads so I proceed to disk management. There the drives shows up but it says it is not enabled even though when I click properties it says the device is enabled. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thank you

I had this problem on a user's computer a while back. I would plug the stick into the system and I wouldn't even get a drive letter, let alone the autoplay menu. Are you even getting a drive letter through my computer?

If not, the way I did it was to change the drive letter. It seemed as if it was wanting to take a drive letter that was being used as a network drive.

In disk management, right click on the drive and select "Change drive letter and paths" - and set the letter to something different. It seemed to work for me.

Yes I changed the drive letter on my computer at work to B: an unused letter on both my work and home computer. However when the drive shows up it has no letter and I can try to change it but that never works. I only have this problem with my pc at home.

Thank you

If you are sure the drive works and your only change is the machine system then I would assume that your bios doesn't support that drive in the usb design. To prove it I might try a smaller usb flash drive and see if it works correctly. Guess you could look at your bios settings to see if any usb choices exist. Some dual processors may never work. The other choice might be to look for bios updates that address that problem. I wouldn't put an update in unless it is for your issue.
