safely remove hardware missing

how to make "safely remove hardware" icon appear in the bar. I already try to change behaviour in customize notification menu into 'always show' but still didn't works.

Forgive my curiousity, but why would you need it? The icon in question is mainly for laptops that need the ability to safely swap drives (e.g. floppy swap to CD). I'm not aware of any other use for the utility. HTH

The 'Safely Remove Hardware' does also appear on Desktops - I have one which only appeared when I Installed a USB Hub and an ADSL Modem attached thereto - don't quite know the purpose of it so I just leave it there!

Have you previously had the Icon there - related to some Hardware you Installed or are you trying to get it for no particular reason?

I am also missing this icon suddenly and would like to get it back. I have a laptop with 2 pc cards and 2 usb drives attached and the icon disappeared today.
