Hi all geniuses...

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to restart the computer into safe mode without the F8 rubbish when it firsts boots up.

We can restart the computer from the desktop..we can shutdown the computer from the desktop...we can go into standby mode from the desktop....etc.... but why can't a simple instruction via an icon be placed on the desktop so it instructs the computer to start in safe mode on the next reboot?

Anyone have an idea if this can be done?..

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Sure. See Post 4 of 5 HERE. The next time you restart your system, you'll have two boot selections, one for Windows XP and one for Safe Mode.
