Reboot and select to Start Windows Normally. Also, there is no DOS in XP.

There 'is' DOS in XP. The name is NT Virtual DOS Manager. It's c:\windows\system32\NTVDM.exe and is started when you click on the 'Command Prompt' icon. The Command Prompt is the interface for it.

@ Sunshine
You may have done this to cause the problem --- Do Start, then RUN, then type
msconfig
Then on the "boot.ini" tab, uncheck SAFEBOOT box.
