yes, i was trying to get into safe mode last night, my system wouldn't go into it by the f8 key so i went into msconfig way. now its stuck in the menu and any keyboard i plug into it wont work. now i don't want to be in safe mode and just want my regular start up to happen. i can't afford to loose any information so rebooting the OS is kind of out of the question if possible. please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are your backup files?

Why would rebooting cause you to lose files?

"and any keyboard i plug into it wont work".

I hope you didn't try connecting a PS/2 keyboard while under power.

Reboot the computer.

Why were you trying to get into Safe Mode, and what exactly do you mean you couldn't and used the "msconfig way?"

Exact details are always helpful.

I am guessing that the poster used boot.ini tab in the system configuration utility and select safemode as the bootup option.
