My laptop with Windows xp home edition will not boot up either normally or in safe mode. It begins alright but after logging in I get an error message saying "Runtime error '5'" "Invalid procedure call or argument" I was able to run some diagnostics but so far everything checks out ok. It just won't boot up. I don't have a os disk or I would try to reinstall it. Any ideas about what this error message is about? Any help would be very welcome. Thank you
