When opening up "My Computer" icon or any other Windows Explorer window I get an error box of the following:-
(Header) Project1
(Body) Run-time error '13':
(Body) type mismatch
(end)Since I have had this error I havent been able to access some websites using IE6 (sorry cannot remember exactly which ones except Windows Update Site.)
Netscape has been working fine though.
Also I have had a Random Application in task manager called "pup.exe" which links to a proccess which is always a set of different numbers!!!
ANY IDEAS??

1st step , run a virus check from 1 of these .
Online Virus check ( free )

I have got rid of the pup.exe running proccess - had to close pup.exe and stop it re-occuring in task manager while pc-cillin runs.
But still no luck with the runtime error - I have read through all information concerning runtime errors but cannot find a resolution. The only solution seems to be a reformat of windows. This seems a bit drastic for a problem which only occurs with the internet/windows explorer.
Is there a Library of what causes each runtime error? I could not find one.
Cheers 4 the info.

These where the only libraries I have been able to find .

Sometimes a program, bad driver or conflicts that destroy or corrupt files will necessitate a reinstallation. WinXP will replace damaged or corrupted files without disturbing your data or registry settings so that these will still be available to you.1. Boot from the WinXP CD
2. Select set up WinXP(ENTER)
3. Windows will find an existing copy of itself and give you the option to repair the highlighted installation
4. WinXP will copy the necessary files to your HD and install
