I just got windows xp and i proceeded to copy over all my old games and such from the old computer but none of them work. I try and run the program and the screen goes blank as though it were about to run but then it just returns to the desktop as if everything was normal. Help me out here.

WINDOWS XP doesn't support any true DOS software. You can try greating a dos bootable floppy by right clicking on your "A" drive icon in my computer and clicking format, then check the "create an MS-DOS startup disk" (make sure you have a floppy in the drive before you start} Then you can try executing your games this way!

try this site! it seems to be what you need!
Let me know if you have any luck for future reference please!
I use all of my old DOS programs under XP (both Home and Pro) under FAT32. I know of other customers of mine using DOS programs under NTFS as well, but all of these programs are business applications, not games. Games sometimes require more and different types of resources than business apps. You may need to bump the files in \Windows\System32\Config.nt to get some DOS apps to run.

What is FAT32? I have a copy of Quickbooks for DOS that I used regularly for my wife's decorating business (under Win95). I just got a new PC with XP Home Ed and now I cannot open QB! I am not very computer saavy, that is, I follow directions very well (the step by step ones), so any help you can send my way would help to avoid the $180 purchase of the latest QB. Thanks for any help!
