error code 126
can anyone tell what this means (im not great with computers) and how i can fix it thanks :D

rob: for info on Backweb, see:
http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/B/Backweb.asp
to get rid of it download and run Spybot Search & Destroy from:
http://www.safer-networking.org/.

Hey, I get a problem that is like that, it reads runner error, invalid backweb application 137903. I however, sarted getting the message after rumming the spybot software. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

I'm having the same problem as all of these other people. I get the Runner error, "Application id :13979" whatever. After I used Spybot to restore backweb, it came up with "Could not locate, C://Program Files.... Error Code 126", after that I deleted the Backweb folder all together, I still have Spybot finding some Backweb files that can be found in the Registry Editor. And I don't know which file is the one for Backweb in the start-up when I go to msconfig. And no I don't have the Kodak Software because many people on the net say it caused the problem. HELP PLEASE!

Zack: the manual removal instructions from:
http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/B/Backweb.asp
are as follows:
1. try uninstalling via the "Add/Remove Program" icon in the Control Panel, or disable with Startup Manager.
2. look for BackWeb-XXXXXXXX.exe (the XXXXXXXX denotes the version number) and rename it to BackWeb.ex_ or some other name.
this will stop it from running.3. to remove it, look for \program files\BackWeb\ and remove this directory.
there may not be an uninstaller.4. Western Digital's Data Lifeline BackWeb Lite Installer (DLGLI.EXE) uses BackWeb to quietly install unknown items onto your computer.
when you install Western Digital Data Lifeline, a reference to DLGLI.exe is placed in the Windows StartUp folder so that it is loaded at startup.
to remove:
terminate DLGLI.exe using Windows' End Task (CTRL-ALT-DEL) dialogue.
it may show up as "Downloading Software..." or "Resuming Downloading of Software..."use Find to locate DLGLI.EXE, and delete it.
locate Iadhide3.dll and delete it.
remove the entry from the StartUp folder.
5. stop these running processes with Task Manager:
backwebserv.exe
dc1.exe6. remove these files (if present) with Windows Explorer:
backwebserv.exe
dc1.exe
dc10.hlp
dc6.r
