I am having a big problem with this. When i load up add/remove application and try to remove some of the programs on there, the add/remove application freezes. I did a CTRL+Alt+Del, and i find rundll32.exe taking alot of cpu usage. Also, my wireless keeps on disconnecting everytime the stupid rundll32.exe is running.
Can somebody please help me out because its really annoying and i cannot remove the programs i want out of my computer. Thanks

It could be malware masquerading as the true rundll32. Time for malware scanning...
The genuine rundll32.exe is a process which executes DLL's and places their libraries into the memory, so they can be used more efficiently by applications. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.
Note: rundll32.exe is a process registered as a backdoor vulnerability which may be installed for malicious purposes by an attacker allowing access to your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.
Determining whether rundll32.exe is a virus or a legitimate Windows process depends on the directory location it executes or runs from in WinTasks.
Good luck

As Virginia (by Garibaldi) said this could be a piece of malware. Rundll32 doesnt normally run as an ongoing process showing in Task Manager.
Are you running any antivirus / spyware software ?
If not try AVG for antivirus and adaware or spybot for trojans.
If ADAWARE or SPYBOT flag something as bad you can remove the item - Ive never had either mess up a system in the 5 years ive used them; some systems have been real badly messed by users.
Google by name to find download site all are free.
Also check here http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/p...
Good explaination of what it is and what masquerades as rundll32 and suggestions on how to remove it - NOT saying they are correct or not. You decide.Lets Know how you go.
