Does anyone else have a program called run a dll as an exe trying to access the internet when they run xp? is this part of xp, or is this some freaky virus? I am using zonealarm, which alerts me when this mysterious program called rundll32.exe tries to access the internet and act as a server.

Its not a virus. Rundll32 is used for many, many things. You can even use it to make a shortcut that will allow you to click and icon and have windows shutdown. If you are worried about it, just don't give it server rights.
