Specs: win xp home, p4

I have noticed that if I click on control panel it takes a really long time to load..then if I click on system then system restore I get the following message
``RUNDLL An exception occurred while trying to run "c:\windows\system32\shell32.dll,Control_Run DLL"c:\windows\system 32\system.cpl",system".

Are these related issues ?

See if this fixes anything-
Try System File Checker:
Open the Command Prompt, then type:

sfc /scannow

note space between the c and /
Have XP CD in your drive.

I found this on another forum
``Ok man this may be the solution.
Insert your XP CD and close the install window
Go to your Windows folder, then to INF folder
find in that folder, sr.inf
right click on it and
choose install
It may ask for certain files, point them to your CD in the I386 folder unless you have an I386 folder on the Hard drive.
Thats it, reboot. It just worked on mine.``
It worked on mine too!
