Rundll error Message

I started getting an error while powering up my HP desktop machine. The error is a RUNDLL Error loading C:\Windows|image.new The specified module could not be found. After I close the message box, the taskbar area at the bottom of the screen go black. When I move the cursor to this area the cursor turns from the arrow-head to the hour-glass. Unable to right or left click in this area.

hmm check your Startup folder to make sure nothing has inadvertantly sneaked into there.

Go here and reinstall rundll32. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/winfiles.html
