If you get the error on startup then you need to look into the startup configuration to match it to the error.

Would you like to share the exact error message so we will know what it is too?

Otherwise you can use the thing to fix it.

Bryan

The exact error message, the program running or in violation, and the condition you got the error would be useful.

Like Bryan stated very well above, going to a Computer Forum for help in PC troubleshoot is like going to a new Doctor with a medical problem. The Doctor has no prior information about the Patient and Patient has no clue about the Doctor!

The best thing in that situation is to give very clear and precise information about the PC Patient - EXACT symptom and its duration, what preceded (EXample:new hardware or software change-addition or removal)what troubleshoots have been done for that so far, whether the PC Patient is immunized against Virus, worm, Adware and malware parasites and if the preventive measures are up to date including all the Operating System Updates offered by Microsoft to prevent or fix the threats.

With the availabe partial information, my guess is a Spyware infection. My suggestion is Antispywarte run.

You have Newdot BHO and Spybot rightfully removed the .dll but it is still trying to load upon startup. Since it no longer exists you get the error message.

bevcaron, click "Start", "Run..." and type "regedt32"
and click"OK". The "Registry Editor" window will open.
Click "Edit" then "Find" and type "NEWDOT". After
finding it (already highlighted) right click it and delete.
Restart. Use regularly (daily) "Ad-Aware".

Thanks so much Bryaco and Nikolaus for the help. I did what you said and it fixed my problem. I am not a pc expert so sometimes i probably don`t explain my problem well enough, but i am learning. Once again thanks for the patience with me and solving my problem...Bev
