Hi,

This may not be the most appropriate forum but I thought it would be better than "DOS Standalone".

I want to be able to open applications using the command prompt in windows. To do this I have to use the "START" command, followed by the application name and path, however I keep getting errors while trying to do this.

Can anyone give me an exact example of what the command would look like?

Once at the command prompt it is not necessary to use Start just enter the full path & prog name e.g.

"c:\program files\cool2000\cool2000.exe"

the double quotes are necessary because there is a space in one of the folder names.

Good luck

Oh, the double quotes was where I was going wrong. That's why I had that problem, because of the space between "program files". Thanks very much for your help.
