The solution I got is not working for me, I have tried everything. When I go to Start>settings>taskbar and start menu>advanced tab there is not an option for displaying run in the start menu or anything like that. I don't know what happened to it. Please someone help me! Thank you, Melissa

Right click the Start button. Go to Properties -> Start Menu -> Customize -> Advanced.
Scroll down the list until you come to Run Command. Put a check in the box. Then make certain you click on OK and APPLY on the way out.

That's the problem, when I scroll down the list there is not a Run Command at all. I see everything else with the box next to them that I can put the check in the box but there is not an option for Run. I don't know what else to do.

Melissa, try this link. It's a long list but, according to Google, there should be a heading for restoring Run to the Start menu.
Post back if you're still having problems. Sorry I haven't the time to scan the list for you.

Found it! Scroll down to #57, then look in the right-hand column: Restore the Run Command. Click on it, and download the utility.
