can somebody please help me? im using roxio easy cd creator 5.0 platinum with windows xp. When copying a cd,i let it copy to hard drive first to avoid buffer underruns. The thing is, I use my pioneer DVD-ROM to read the source cd, but the max read speed of it is only 1x (150 k/s)! However, the DVD should read cd's at around 40x. Please reply if you know how to change this max speed limit, because it always takes me around 40 minutes just to read a cd. thank you.

I don't know about reading speeds ...but I am wondering how you ever got EZ CD Creator working with XP. I tried and the Soundstream just kept looking for CD information non-stop, so I couldn't ever burn a CD from there. It did using the advanced but I wanted to use Soundstream.......No way-no how..I did d/l the drivers and updates from Roxio,,,didn't make a bit of difference...Good luck tho.
