Hi. I am having technical difficulties with my Roxio software "Easy Cd Creator 5 Platinum" and seems that im getting errors when ever im trying to burn a cd. ERRORS: E80041874: Cd recorder error track following error - 04/09/00 ERROR2: E80041925. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks! (:

That is a start and it is always proper to post your reply in your org. post, makes my life a lot easier. Are you trying to copy a music CD? Game? Some do have copy protection built into them that will cause issues. Still need more details, also do you have the latest updated from Roxio?

There is a lot of problems with Easy Cd Creator 5 Platinum with Win XP.......
You might have to wait until SP1 is released which might fix this problem.I recommend you to use NERO burning software.

Roxio works just fine with the updates and patches applied properly. I know, I use it without issues. Nero burning also has it's known issues with XP, it is not an end all to resolve buring issues.

Here is the page with the XP update and instructions for download:

If it doesn't work after following Roxio's instructions, there is probably very little you can do except try a different product. Defraging the hard drive regularly keeps your data organized to make burning as efficient as possible. Like KTTD said, it would be easier to help if you provided more details about what you are trying to burn. One thing I have to disagree with KTTD about is that there is no problem with the program when the updates are applied properly. I and many others have fought with that program through many installs, uninstalls, and updates. It just refuses to work right on my XP partition. On the other hand, it works fine on my Me partition, even though it is the exact same hardware.
