June 10, 2010 at 22:19:17
Specs: Windows XP

what command do I use to access the system directory in XP? My Outlook won't reinstall or stop trying and won't uninstall. Even the full Outlook disk doesn't work to reinstall.

last thing you want to be doing is accessing the system at the file level.

Restore point to before the problem
A repair reinstall of the OS and Outlook

Do your basic maintenance first
update and run your Antivirus/antimalware
chkdsk /f
delete unused programs
run disk cleanup
run defragmentor

Hi there,

I suggest your goto safe mode and then try to un-install outlook express first . I hope you will get success in safe mode.

Best of luck

The system says that "the patch may not exist" when trying to reinstall, uninstall or repair the installation file. Nothing could be accessed in "safe mode". So I'm still stymied.
