Hi:
I am having a problem I can't seem to fix.
On one of my website, one of my rollover buttons to my "LINKS" page is not working on ANY of the pages. And the "LOCATIONS" rollover button works on EVERY page EXCEPT the home page. When they do not work, they just stay "blue" with the text rather than what they should do, which is change to white with text when the mouse goes over it.
Yet, the html codes are exactly the same on all pages...and I've had 2 people say that it should be working...
FYI, The buttons were originally created in dreamweaver by a web designer...
I have no clue how to fix this. I hope someone does.
www.katzanddogz.com is the web address.
sincerely,
jester

I have Windows XP as an operating system so I thought I was supposed to post it here?
Is there another support forum I should be putting it in instead?
I didn't know.
jester

Well...this is more a support forum for the OS itself and OS related issues.
An HTML forum or Web Design forum of some sort would probably be the best place, and you'll get much more help there on top of it.
If it's any help, IE6 is showing you have an "Unterminated String Constant" in Line 38, char 264.

I looked at your code...to fix that error, you need a ' after the images/b-links-b.gif in line 38 of your code in the tag.
It should look like 'images/b-links-b.gif')
=)

Dear Bryan,
Thank you for your time and response. I put in the correction you noticed, but that did not unfortunately correct the lack of a rollover on the links button, and the locations button not rolling over is still is an issue too. I put the ' on all the pages...
I actually started on an HTML/web design forum and wasn't getting an answer, so I thought I'd try on this one, because I used to post on here and usually got help.
So, I am still baffled...and also curious how you found out about the "unterminated string constant through IE6.
Is there some kind of a tool that allows you to scan the html for errors? How'd you do that???
I also wonder if you can figure out anything else that might be wrong, since you seem to know something about this.
Thanks in advance for your response.
jester

Thank you for your response JayF.
Are there some words that are missing from your post above about the Locations area?
Also, I went to my html page and the onMouseOut and onMouseOver is there for links, so I am not sure what you are referring to.
I am not real savvy about this, so if you could be more specific as to what is missing and where on which page, and where exactly to put what, I would be grateful.
I know it is late, so I look forward to your response when you are able, rested and clear-headed.
Many thanks!
jester.

OOOOppss, forum obviously don't allow HTML in your post :P
Well I've closed your page but basically what I was saying is if you look closely at your code that build the navigation menu with rollovers. You have the link with the javascript calls to get the effects. Then you have the image. Each image have a particular name for the effects to work. For locations it's Image10. For links it's also Image10, and the call pass Image18. Change the name of the image to Image18.
For the rest of the page, the parts that call the Javascript is just missing for all your "Links" links.

Well I'll do some overtime tonight, lol. Since this is not a forum that's related to webdesign I sent you an e-mail...also that's easier since I can't type HTML here.

Hi Jay,
I will check my email. It's funny. I just looked over the code very carefully on my own and discovered that in the html code it said Image 18 in one spot for the links button and then Image 10 in the other part of it afterwards and also noticed that Image 10 related to the locations button, so I changed it to Image 18 and "Voila!", they both work now!
And then I got your post above, which only confirms what I found, so I guess it is all set now!
Thank you!

Hey Jester!!
Glad you were able to figure the problem out. As far as the error showing up in Internet Explorer...it shows up on mine in the bottom left status bar. You can then click on it and get all the info about the error.
For some reason, the error wasn't lining up with the code, so I just went through manually and looked for what it was talking about. That's when I found it was missing the '
