roller coaster tycoon setup error

I am trying to install Roller Coaster Tycoon but everytime I try I get a problem. I tell it to install to program files/ roller coaster tycoon like you always do but for some reason it aborts the installation and says that it couldn't install the uninstaller program to C:\WINDOWS2. But thats not where i wanted to install roller coaster tycoon. Can someone tell me why it won't install and what I can do to fix this? I really want to play this game! Any help will be very appreshiated. :D

I'm not quite sure what you mean?. are you saying that you browsed to a different dir to install?, if so let it install to whatever the default is,try it. i had a similar problem with pop.

no the default is the one i used. the default was C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon. and when i install it it says that it could not install uninstaller to C:\WINDOWS2 and stops installing. my question is how can i fix it so it can install.

We ran the original version with all the add on packs on 98 a few years and then took it out and installed it all on our XP machine no problem so it should work fine with XP. You might try this page if it's an older version and see if there are any patches you need and at the bottom it will take you to support and their are tech support forums for the game that might tell you what that error means when installing, I have never seen that with out installs.
Summary: I cant get Roller Coaster Tycoon to work on XP. I think it might be because i also have Win 98 too on the same computer and it works on that. Also how can i install 98 without desturbing XP? ...
