Comment:

Recently i just come back from Windows vista to XP - then to SP3 RC.

I had some rmvb video files. When i play it in realplayer, the framerate is not smooth.

I installed Storm Codec, then i open with Windows Media Player 11, the framerate is smooth but the audio doesnt tele or sync.

I uninstalled and tried alot of codecs like kazaa, VLC but still have the same problem, the framerate not smooth.

It is definitely not the videos (RMVB) problem because i installed the same STORM codec in Windows Vista and it has a smooth playback without any sound sync problem.

Thanks.

Lets get this straight first of all.

So frame rate is smooth with Windows Media Player 11 then, and not with Real Player.

My guess would be it has something to do with the settings in the Real Player. Using the latest version of Real Player? My suggestion look for the settings in Real Player to see if it has something that is causing issues like skipping frames. I know that Win Media Player does. Make sure the skipping frames is turned off for smooth frame rate and that other things are supported on computer for that software.
