Comment:
Am using WMP 11, which is up to date. I can rip my music cd's with no problems. I have trouble ripping audio books, like Harry Potter tho. Sometimes I can do several cd's just fine, then it will bog down. Sometimes it bogs down right away, no seeming pattern. Is this perhaps because its copyrighted? I do this so I can put the books on my mp3 player. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

Use a decent audio ripper like Audiograbber (easiest to use) which is free:

http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/

Or EAC which is free:

http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

Both of these require the LAME encoder which is available here:

http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php

Then your all set to make quality mp3's without any drm or other such crap that you get from WMP.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

Actually, Wombat, I have used AudioGrabber, and it too exhibits the same behaviour. Initially I thought the process was causing overheating but I dont think ithat is it, for everyting else that may be running works just fine. I will do a cold boot tho and use AG again and see if it makes any difference.
