Check your sounds for AVG and see what they are. start/control panel/sounds and audio devices

If you mean 'beeps', it 'could' be your bios warning you that you have a temperature or voltage problem. Enter the bios setup program and check the PC health screen.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

Do as XP says...you probably have some software running that is doing it. A good test...turn off your speakers....do you still hear it?

you dont have to give up the speakers...just turn them off for a little while and see if it still beeps...then you can turn them back on.
