I am using Win XP Pro SP2 and Microsoft Outlook 2000... To send attachments, sometimes I locate the file in Windows Explorer, right-click the filename, and then choose "Send to... > Mail Recipient". This opens up a blank email message with the file attached, enabling me to type my message and click "Send". However, when I click "Send", nothing happens (literally). Then if I leave the message open and try clicking Outlook in the taskbar, it won't open (again, no other response). All my other programs function fine at this point. Also, if I try to click the [x] to close the message window, no response. I've found the only way to continue is to save the message ( by clicking the Save icon in the toolbar), then close it, then open Outlook - oddly, I can then see my unsent message in my Inbox (not Drafts folder!), so I double-click it in the inbox, thus opening it, and only THEN can I click "Send". I changed computers recently (this is a brand-new machine with identical software loaded) - I never had this problem in my other computer... is there some kind of Windows XP default setting I need to modify??? Outlook 2000 is correctly set as my default email program. I'm not young enough to know everything.
