Hi, I'm having sort of a problem with my speakers...my right one is not working at all. They're new, monitor speakers and they've been working fine until today when sound stopped coming out of the right one. Any suggestions? (My sound manager is Realtek if that matters at all). Thanks!

I'm not sure, that's y I ask. When I answer, I might b wrong, but I doubt it...

is the plug pushed in all the way (don't just look actually unplug and plug it in again)?

check all the wires for one that may be damaged (very small wires take very little trauma to damage them very much)?

do you still have your old one's (or headphones)can you plug them in and check if they work ?

Yeah check the cables.

You probably didn't get any installation cd since speakers hardly need one, but if you did then try re-installing.

Check volume control (double click on the icon in taskbar next to date and time, or go to start->control panel->sound,speech and audio devices and on the left theres an "advanced volume control", click it, and look if the arrow thing is leaning towards the left or right. If so, place it in the center)

Also, check with msn, your media players and everything associated with your speakers if they have a similar option you can adjust.

Ok, I had discovered what the problem was...the speakers weren't balanced but i couldn't fix that because some Windows components (including volume control) had been deleted somehow. So I had it all fixed and it worked fine for about a week and now my right speaker isn't wonrking AGAIN!!! This time it's driving me even more crazy because they're balanced and everything seems right, but the speaker is still not working. The cables are fine, and I don't think I need to reinstall anything. Any ideas???? :)

Oh no.. I'm guessing either something wrong with your soundcard (hey at least you know you have one), your speakers or you still havent configured it correctly (wich is weird since you shouldn't have to). Check if other speakers/headphones work properly, if they do, then bring these ones back to the store. Sorry, not much help I know.
